Richard Orzecki (Independent)
Richard is of Raukawa, Ngati Wehi Wehi, Horowhenua and Polish descent and has been a resident of Otaki and more recently Hokio Beach for the last twelve years.
I believe there have been some positive changes for healthcare in our region in recent years, but there is much more to be done to ensure all our people receive the services they need.
I am committed to using my governance skills gained through serving on a number of boards and practical experience to meet the current and future health challenges for our region.
I have a growing family with five children and eight mokopuna and want to ensure that they can get quality and accessible health services.
I was appointed to the Hospital Advisory Committee by the current MidCentral DHB board some three years ago and feel that I can offer integrity, trustworthiness and accountability to our communities.

Conflict of Interest Statement
I have the following current conflicts of interest with the MidCentral District Health Board (DHB).
I am appointed member to the DHB Hospital Advisory Committee.
I am Chair of the Manawhenua Hauora who have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the DHB.
I am Chair of the Health and Disability Reference Committee of Te Runanga O Raukawa Inc who provide health services on a contractual basis with the DHB.
To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no other conflicts of interest with the DHB at the date of my notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership of the board of the DHB.
I do not believe that any conflicts of interest are likely to arise in the future, other than the continuation of the conflicts of interest stated above.
