Ann Chapman (Independent)
I endorse a public health system which provides the greatest number of services efficiently and safely to all our communities. With my ten years on MidCentral's Board, I know how to work for this goal.
As a former nurse I have extensive experience in health, in the public, private and voluntary sectors, and in governance.
In my nine years as Deputy Chair, I have a very good overview of how the whole system works. I have positively contributed to all discussions by the committees overseeing the provision of hospital, public, community health and disability services.
I was a founder of the Otaki Community Health Trust, providing funding for the Otaki PHO, of which we are very proud. I have contributed to workshops for the Cancer Society. My award of the NZ Order of Merit was for services to the community and local government.
I hope you will elect me again.
Conflict of Interest Statement
I have the following potential conflict of interest with the MidCentral District Health Board:
My son is an employee of Gen-I, a telecommunications provider which may include work in the health sector.
To the best of my knowledge and belief, I have no other conflicts of interest with the DHB at the date of notice of consent to being nominated as a candidate for membership of the board of MidCentral Health.
I do not believe that any other conflicts of interest are likely to arise in the future, other than the continuation of the conflict advised above. This conflict has been managed appropriately to date.
