Information on candidates who sought election to MidCentral DHB as part of the 2010 DHB Elections.
The 2010 election period opens on 23 July 2010. The membership of the DHB Board is for a three-year term. The triennial DHB elections are held in association with local government elections. Seven Board Members are selected through the election process. The Minister of Health then appoints up to a further four members.
The final results for the 2010 MidCentral DHB election will be announced in the week 13 - 22 October.
The nomination period for the 2010 DHB elections will open on Friday 23 July 2010 and close at 12 noon on Friday 20 August 2010. Information packs for candidates will be available closer to this time.
A formal notice of elections is issued by the DHB Electoral Officer when nominations for election open.
The STV (single transferable voting system) is used for electing DHB board members.
