The Hospital Advisory Committee has 10 members, and advises on the performance of MidCentral Health – the DHB’s provider of hospital and associated services. It meets monthly (except January).
HAC monitors the performance of hospital services.

Function of the Hospital Advisory Committee
The Hospital Advisory Committee is responsible for advising the District Health Board on the hospitals’ performance. Terms of Reference detail its role.
The General Manager, MidCentral Health provides reports on hospital performance to the Hospital Advisory Committee and these can then be assessed and monitored against the performance objectives set out in the annual plan and other relevant accountability documents.
Committee meetings will be open to the public with the committee reserving the right to "go into committee" on particular agenda items.
